The
garage is located in one of the most crowded areas of Mexico City, within
a rented space that had a poor existing infrastructure. Because of this
the proposal was to build a new infrastructure which satisfies the requirement
of the new use of the land.
A
new workshop inside the existent structure, a new configuration, a new
skin, intelligent, efficient and expressive, that corresponds to the
technique requirements of the garage and could give a new lecture of
the space. The answer was found in the utilization of prefabricated
panels putted inside a new structure totally dismantle that will allow
the workshop -its stuff and employees, its equipment and skin- that
can be taken apart , and rebuild wherever the commercial demand needs
it. The project plays with the tones and brightness of the steel panels,
with the texture and shades, the structure that supports them is hide
but showing, reticulating and plain. |
