| Great
views in front, great views in the back; neighbors at both sides, and
a family with teenagers. The project works with the directionality of
the views but builds up a house that does not feel such directionality.
The project works with the directionality of the views but searches
for a typology that goes beyond front and back. The overall volumetry
does not express that the project was born to respond to such restrictive
environment. The house is the conjunction of linear segmented volumes
placed in arbitrarily in plan and section, creating different scaled
patios around them. Breaking and placing the volumes at different heights
enables each space to be surrounded by patios, disassociating itself
from the rest of the house. A unique strip connects all the spaces of
the house. The project responds to its environment and its program:
it is a pavilion house build up to create a single object. Having some
of the volumes floating creates a garden with an array of spaces and
shadows that might help to use it more, and even in different ways according
to different situations. |
